So...today IS tomorrow, and how did the surgery go?

He is back home and resting, he is not so much a shave-tail as more of a
shaved-butt.
The stitches in his butt are a bright pink in color.
We might post a photo of them in a day or two.
He has to wear a very bright neon anti scratch collar until his stitches
come out.
He is only allowed to have very small meal snacks, but four times a day.
No walks until his stitches come out on the 16 of this month.

Glad to hear he made it through ok, though the recovery process is never
fun. I had to have my dog's anal glands expressed today and OMFG is that
a foul thing. I could never do it myself, ever, not without barfing anyway.

Ill keep Cobber in my thoughts. What sort of dog is he?

He is half German Shepard and half English Coonhound.

So we call him an American Sheep-hound.

The word "COBBER" is Australian slang for "very best friend"
